TEFLON FILTER MEMBRANES

Aura's 47 mm Teflon Filter Membranes are made of pure of PTFE and therefore have no extractables. The substantial thickness of the membranes (250 micron) allows the fabrication of the membranes without requiring backing material, make them easy to handle and allow them to be reused numerous times. They are chemically inert and can be used interchangeably for organic and aqueous solvents.

Due to the membrane strength, if necessary, liquids can be filtered using pressures exceeding the membranes water initiation pressure or with the aid of wetting agents such as methanol. The functional pore size is 1.5 +/- 0.5 microns.
